It has been 25 days since Soori’s Mandaadi arrived in theatres, and the Tamil action film continues to see a rise in its box office collection. Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi and produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner, the film stars Soori in the titular role, alongside Suhas and Mahima Nambiar. Mandaadi opened to a decent response at the box office and has now achieved a major milestone. The makers have officially announced the OTT release date of the movie.

Streaming details of Soori's Mandaadi

Soori’s Tamil action film is all set to make its digital debut. It will start streaming on Netflix from October 8 even as the film continues its theatrical run and attracts attention for its box office performance. The movie will also be available in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, apart from Tamil, giving it a wider reach among audiences across India.




For viewers who missed the film in theatres or want to watch it again from home, the Netflix release will provide an opportunity to catch Soori in one of his biggest lead roles.



Soori's film crosses Rs 100 crore in India

The OTT announcement comes at a huge point in Mandaadi’s theatrical journey. On Monday, the makers announced that the film had crossed Rs 100 crore in India and collected Rs 150 crore worldwide.

According to Sacnilk.com, Mandaadi has become Soori’s first film as a lead actor to cross the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide. It has also emerged as his highest-grossing movie as a lead actor.

The achievement marks an important phase in Soori’s career, particularly as the actor has gradually moved from comedy and supporting roles to leading characters in films with more serious and action-oriented subjects.

Vetrimaaran, Kamal Haasan praise the film

The film has also received appreciation from several well-known names in Tamil cinema. Director Vetrimaaran, who worked with Soori in the Viduthalai films, has praised the effort and dedication that went into Mandaadi. His association with Soori has been an important part of the actor’s transition into leading roles.

Kamal Haasan also met the Mandaadi team after attending a special screening. He appreciated the film, particularly its writing and dialogues. Soori later spoke about the meeting and described his interaction with Kamal as one of the most unforgettable moments of his life.

Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, Mandaadi is produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner. Soori leads the cast, with Suhas and Mahima Nambiar also playing important roles.

The technical team includes music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer SR Kathir and editor Pradeep E Ragav. The film also features large-scale sailing sequences and action portions mounted with the involvement of stunt choreographers Peter Hein, Dhilip Subbarayan and Mahesh Mathew.
