Anand Mahindra shares vintage ad showing Jeep at Rs 12K, netizens ask if offer is still valid: This is how he reacted
In his tweet, the Mahindra boss shared a vintage print ad from ‘60s.

While now it may require one to shell out lakhs to own one of these wonderful vehicles, there was a time when it was available for a few thousand rupees.
The Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra, took his Twitter followers on a stroll down the memory lane recently. Mahindra shared an old print advertisement featuring the Willys CJ 3B Jeep for Rs 12, 421.
The image cited The Times of India, 1960 edition, as the source of the print advertisement. The poster was an announcement of a Rs 200 discount on the vehicle. The billionaire in his tweet mentioned that the old poster was found by one of his good friends whose family has been distributing the vehicles for decades.
“A good friend, whose family has been distributing our vehicles for decades fished this out from their archives. Aaah the good old days…when prices headed in the right direction!” read Mahindra’s tweet.

Well you could buy 10 cars for that much; except they’re Thar die-cast toy collectibles…! https://t.co/HtvBzMpI6U https://t.co/JsZEyvt6sb
