Madame Tussauds to honour Sridevi with a wax figure in Singapore

The museum took to Twitter to share glimpse of the statue.

Madame Tussauds has decided to make Sridevi's 'one of a kind' wax figure, exclusively in Singapore.
NEW DELHI: The iconic wax museum Madame Tussauds in Singapore has decided to honour the late Bollywood actress Sridevi on her 56th birth anniversary on Tuesday. As a tribute to the veteran star, the museum has decided to add her 'one of a kind' wax figure, exclusively in Singapore.

The museum took to Twitter to convey the news, and shared certain glimpse of the statue. The pictures suggest that they are recreating Sridevi's 'Hawa Hawai' look from 1987 movie 'Mr. India'.



Sridevi's proud producer-husband, Boney Kapoor, expressed gratitude on Twitter, and thanked Madame Tussauds Singapore for immortalising her work with a wax figure. He also confirmed that the Kapoor family will attend the unveiling of the statue in Singapore.


Superstar Sridevi, who reigned the Bollywood box-office of the eighties, died on February 24, 2018, by accidentally drowning in a bathtub in a Dubai hotel.
