Fitness has always been a way of life for Paras Arora, CEO & Founder of Qdesq.

Talking about his exercise routine, the top boss said that he goes for a walk daily, and cycles two to three days every week. "I am more of an outdoor person rather than a gym guy. I walk 5km every day and try to avoid late dinners," he added.

Doubles partner
"I have always been passionate about cricket, but I no longer play the sport. Now I am more inclined towards badminton. I play it with my son on Saturday and Sunday. These sessions are good for my son, who gets to practice, and for me, it is a part of my fitness routine. I am passionate about golf, but can’t seem to find the time for it at the moment."

Keeping stress at bay
“I am quite excited about my work, which keeps me upbeat. Daily calls and interactions with the team and clients give me that high in life. The pandemic has been a teacher that has forced us to work on mental strength, emotional stability and harnessing the power of optimism to overcome challenges. I am a spiritual person, and believe in the almighty.”

People management
“To manage stress efficiently, I prefer to watch and listen to power speakers and motivational leaders. It helps me to improve productivity in stressful situations and motivate my colleagues better. It fills me with the energy to lead people during tough times, improves the way I communicate with them, and decreases the chance of unethical practices. It also empowers me to develop my team and while conducting the performance appraisal of my employees.”

The importance of looking dapper
“Every six months or so, I get a makeover in terms of how I style my hair and clothes. It's essential to keep yourself fairly well-groomed while working from home as it triggers a psychological effect in your head that one is in action and working with sincerity.”

Tools I’ve grown to love…
“Efficient, professional and easy to use video calling apps are the need of the hour. The forced work-from-home scenario urged people to have every meeting on video call. Therefore, Zoom is my current favourite tool as it saves time that would otherwise have been spent in long commutes.”

Yash Dongre Business head at House of Anita Dongre

“I have fine-tuned my baking skills. Although my wife Benaisha and I aren’t vegan, the rest of the house is. So, during the lockdown, vegan baking took centrestage. Benaisha makes the best chocolate mousse cake. It’s made with dates, almond flour and coconut milk — it’s a huge hit. I find baking therapeutic. It’s a precise activity where the outcome is as perfect as the work that goes into it. If you follow the instructions, the end result is good. I love that.”
