Price: Rs 19,999 Anyone who's grown up with Lego knows that the iconic block hasn't changed much since the late 1950s. However, Lego needs to keep up with the times too and they're doing it with products like this. The Boost Toolbox is pricey but packed full of ideas that can keep you, the AFoL (Adult Fan of Lego - their term) and your children aged 7 and above occupied for days on end.
The toolbox has a total of 843 pieces and you can use it to build five different robots: Vernie the robot, Frankie the cat, Guitar 4000, Multi-tool Rover 4 and the Autobuilder. Note that you can only build one robot at a time - most components are shared between them.
It can best be described as an interactive, build-it-yourself Lego kit. In keeping with the digital theme, you need to download the app (preferably on an iPad - the larger screen just makes it easier to follow along with the build instructions) to get started. No need to mess about with an instruction manual or worry about losing it - the app takes you through the build process. .
Next comes the programmable aspect - its simple coding that the app guides you through. You can arrange digital coding blocks on the screen and watch as your creation follows the commands in order. As you can imagine, repeat playability is high because of the programming aspect and the sounds and movement make it fun for spectators too. We think it's a great way to introduce children to programming and S.T.E.M., especially if they're already familiar with Lego.

This one is far from the flashiest robots coming to your home, but it can efficiently vacuum a floor without human input by using sensors. Unlike other robot vacuums, the Coral One has a detachable component that allows for manual vacuuming of hard-to-reach surfaces. A manual vacuum may not sound exciting, but its benefits are practical.
