Leading from the frontline: Andhra CM YS Jagan elected as YSR Congress Party president for a lifetime

More than 4.5 lakh cadre participated in the YSRCP Plenary Session.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been elected as YSR Congress Party president for a lifetime.
YSR Congress Party president and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sounded the poll bugle for the 2024 elections. He asked people for support, so the party could do a clean sweep by winning the 175 seats.

During the plenary meet, Jagan gave a call to the cadre to be ready to secure all 175 seats. He told them to be cautious of the Opposition’s sly tactics to lure people ahead of the elections to secure power.

Jagan Mohan Reddy thanked the party workers for their support over the years. Remembering their journey to strengthen the party, he assured them that he would continue to take on their responsibility.


The party’s constitution was amended to elect Jagan Mohan Reddy as YSRCP president for a lifetime. The modification in the constitution will be conveyed to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

A senior leader from the party said that they are confident that they will get the “green signal” from ECI.
