Mahesh Babu-starrer ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ earns over Rs 75 crore on opening day

After ‘RRR’, another Telugu film seems to be on its way to triumph at the box office. Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s latest action-thriller 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' has been released worldwide. The film is directed by Parasuram who has delivered hits like ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Anjaneyulu’.

The film had a massive opening at the box-office on Thursday. The Mahesh Babu-starrer earned around Rs 75 crores worldwide. According to noted trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the film has collected close to Rs 52 crore from Andhra Pradesh alone.

The analyst in a tweet went on to give a state-wide break-up of the film’s first-day collection. The film collected Rs 4.32 crores from Karnataka, Rs 2.20 crores from the rest of India and Rs 16. 51 core from overseas.

‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ also stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, while Samuthirakani, Vennela Kishore, Nadhiya and Subbaraju appear in key roles. The film has music by S Thaman. The movie's songs have already become a huge success on the Internet.

The film has garnered mostly mixed reviews with critics praising the performance of Mahesh Babu. ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, a mixed bag of comedy, music, dance and action sequences, seems to have impressed the audiences. Trade analysts are expecting a massive leap in its box-office collection in the next two days.

‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ was earlier scheduled to release on January 13, 2022. However, owing to the pandemic and production delays, the film was finally released on May 12. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment.
