Katrina Kaif on why social media should not define self-worth
Katrina shared her thoughts during an event in the UK, celebrating the first anniversary of her beauty brand, Kay Beauty. Speaking about the influence of social media, the actor said people should be careful about allowing online opinions to shape how they see themselves.She explained, "I think we really need to be careful of letting the narrative on social media affect our self-worth and inner value because there are so many opinions out there. If you start catering to all of them, it really hampers your ability to make choices for yourself."
The Tiger Zinda Hai actor said people should not allow every comment or criticism to influence their choices. She suggested that giving too much importance to outside opinions could hold someone back from moving forward and making decisions for themselves.
“If I let that dictate my actions, I think I would be paralysed with fear, unable to move ahead in my life or any sphere of life. There are times when the world is going to celebrate you, and other times you have to really be your own biggest cheerleader,” the actress said.

Katrina also spoke about accepting oneself through the different stages of life. She acknowledged that confidence and self-perception can change, and people may not feel their best every day.Rather than putting pressure on themselves to always meet a particular standard, she encouraged people to accept where they are in the present.
