According to trade website Sacnilk, Jana Nayagan earned an estimated Rs 32 crore net in India on Day 4. The Sunday collection was around 10.7% higher than its Day 3 earnings of Rs 28.90 crore, showing that the film continued to attract audiences over the weekend.With its latest earnings, Jana Nayagan has taken its total India net collection to Rs 124.75 crore, while its India gross collection has reached Rs 145.98 crore after four days.
The film has also performed strongly in overseas markets. It added an estimated Rs 10 crore gross on Sunday, taking its international total to Rs 71.50 crore gross.
Combining domestic and overseas collections, the Vijay-starrer has now earned an estimated Rs 217.48 crore worldwide, comfortably crossing the Rs 200 crore milestone during its opening weekend.
The latest achievement also makes Jana Nayagan only the second Tamil film of 2026 to cross the Rs 100 crore India net mark. Suriya's Karuppu remains the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year at the domestic box office with a lifetime India net collection of Rs 198 crore, a figure that Jana Nayagan now appears to be chasing.
The film has already overtaken the lifetime domestic collections of several Tamil releases this year, including Parasakthi (Rs 53 crore), Love Insurance Kompany (Rs 43 crore), Dragon (Rs 102 crore) and Sikandar (Rs 104 crore).
Tamil version Jana Nayagan continues to dominate
The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the film's collections on Sunday. According to Sacnilk, it earned Rs 27.30 crore net, while the Hindi version collected Rs 3.35 crore and the Telugu version added Rs 1.35 crore.Audience occupancy also remained encouraging across all three languages. As per the report, the Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 69.04%, with collections improving as the day progressed. Afternoon shows registered 76.62% occupancy, while evening shows reached 78.46%, indicating strong demand during the weekend.
The Hindi version reported an overall occupancy of 21.33%, while the Telugu version recorded 24.39% occupancy. Tamil Nadu once again emerged as the film's biggest market, contributing Rs 22.50 crore gross on Day 4.
Among other territories, Karnataka contributed Rs 4.75 crore gross, Kerala collected Rs 2.85 crore, and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added Rs 2.05 crore. The rest of India contributed another Rs 5.02 crore, taking the film's total India gross collection for Sunday to Rs 37.17 crore.
