Jailer 2 box office collection day 20: Can Rajinikanth's film reach the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide?

Jailer 2 arrived in theatres on October 15, and the film has maintained a strong hold at the box office despite new releases every week. Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film is showing no signs of slowing down. Starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, it has become the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time and is now heading towards the Rs 850 crore mark worldwide. Now, Jailer 2 is entering an important phase of its theatrical run. With new films arriving during Diwali week, the Rajinikanth-starrer is set to face competition. According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, Jailer 2 collected a net of Rs 3.35 crore across 8,050 shows in India. The Tamil version contributed Rs 1.93 crore, followed by the Hindi version with Rs 80 lakh, Telugu with Rs 45 lakh and Kannada with Rs 17 lakh. With this, the film's total India net collection stands at Rs 463.05 crore, while its India gross collection has reached Rs 541.65 crore.




Overseas, the Rajinikanth-starrer earned Rs 1 crore on Day 20, taking its total overseas gross collection to Rs 275.25 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 816.90 crore.

Tamil Nadu has been one of the key markets for Jailer 2. The film has collected Rs 210.45 crore gross in the state in 18 days. It now needs just Rs 6.80 crore more to surpass Vijay's The Greatest of All Time at the Tamil Nadu box office.
