Jailer 2 box office collection day 18: Rajinikanth's film enters Rs 800 crore club worldwide, becomes 2026's second-highest-grossing Indian film

Jailer 2 is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office since its release on October 15. This Tamil action thriller is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Headlined by superstar Rajinikanth, the film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures and is a direct sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. After running in theatres for over 17 days, the film has now crossed the Rs 800 crore mark at the worldwide box office.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, on Day 18, Jailer 2 collected a net of Rs 11.20 crore in India across 8,906 shows. The Tamil version contributed Rs 8 crore from 4,287 shows, while the Hindi version earned Rs 1.75 crore from 3,592 shows. The Telugu version added Rs 1 crore from 777 shows, and the Kannada version collected Rs 45 lakh from 250 shows. With this, the film's total India gross collection has reached Rs 533.75 crore, while its India net collection stands at Rs 456.30 crore.




In overseas markets, the Rajinikanth-starrer earned Rs 3 crore on Day 18, taking its total overseas gross collection to Rs 273.50 crore. As a result, Jailer 2 has now crossed the Rs 800 crore mark worldwide, with its total global gross collection reaching Rs 807.25 crore.

As per Indian Express report, Jailer 2 has become the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2026, grossing over Rs 807 crore worldwide and trailing only Dhurandhar: The Revenge. In its domestic market, the action-thriller has amassed an impressive Rs 533.75 crore gross (Rs 456.30 crore net), officially surpassing 2.0 to become the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time in India.
