Many comedians, singers, actors descended to Amritsar for the pre-wedding celebrations.

NEW DELHI: The celebrity wedding season continues - and after Udaipur, the action has shifted to Amristar where comedian Kapil Sharma is set to tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Ginni Chatrath, today. The wedding will be followed by a reception in Mumbai on December 24.
Many comedians, singers, actors landed in the golden city on Monday for the 37-year-old stand-up comedian's pre-wedding celebrations. The who's who of the television industry included Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lehri, singers Richa Sharma, Dr Zeus, and actors Sumona Chakroborty, Rajiv Thakur, Roshan Prince, amongst others.
The two-day pre-nuptials comprised bhangra, delicious food, excitement and a lot of energy. The TV stars shared various Instagram Stories, and posted memories from the function.
Apart from feasting, many also joined 'Team Bride' for jagratas, chooda ceremony, mehendi function and the Akhand Path - Bhog. The couple opted for a floral style and look.
Last week, the groom had sent invitation cards to the guests, along with boxes of sweets by Jalandhar's 60-year-old Indian sweets manufacturer - Lovely Sweets. Reportedly, the trousseau packaging and ceremonial gifts are also being executed by the brand.
Sharma, known for his show 'Comedy Nights With Kapil', started shooting for 'The Kapil Sharma Show' right before for his wedding. He will be accompanied by Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh and Chandan Prabhakar, and actor Salman Khan is set to be the first guest on the show.
