Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner likely to attend big, fat wedding in scenic Jaisalmer

JAISALMER: US president Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner is likely to be in town this week for a wedding, with the administration stepping up security arrangements. Kushner’s wife, Trump’s daughter Ivanka, is also likely to accompany him though confirmation was not immediately available.

The wedding, to take place from November 22 to 25, has been talked about here and Jared and Ivanka are also likely to take in the famous sand dunes of western Rajasthan during their visit.

The US embassy had no information to offer but a respondent said that all questions relating to White House personnel need to be directed to the White House.


Ahead of the visit, a 50-member team of American embassy officials and security personnel reached Jaisalmer and took stock of arrangements. Additional SP Rajeev Dutta said Jared and Ivanka are expected to reach by a special chartered flight on November 22.

District collector Om Kasera said official information of Jared Kushner and other members of his delegation and their detailed plans are awaited. But other sources said the couple would attend the marriage of the member of a reputed industrialist family and may even spend a night in the desert. They will leave Jaisalmer on November 25.

Ivanka had earlier attended the global entrepreneurship summit in Hyderabad in November 2017.
