Isha-Anand wedding: Hillary, John Kerry may be attending Udaipur functions
The Ambanis and Piramals are all set to kick off the pre-wedding celebrations.

Two of India's biggest business families, Ambanis and Piramals, are all set to kick off the pre-wedding celebrations of their children Isha and Anand in Udaipur. The extravagant weekend in the Lake City will see the who's who of the business and entertainment world get together for a lavish bash.
And it's not just Indian newsmakers who are expected to attend the pre-nuptial rituals in Udaipur. American political biggies - former US Secretaries of State Hilary Clinton and John Kerry - are also rumoured to be on the guest list.

Newly-married Priyanka Chopra is likely to perform for Isha with whom she shares a close rapport. The latter had flown down to Amsterdam for Chopra's bachelorette. Other performers tipped to make an appearance include playback singer Arijit Singh of 'Aashiqui' fame, and music maestro A R Rahman.

Celebrity photographer, Joseph Radhik - who also captured Priyanka-Nick and Virat-Anushka's weddings, will be the lensman for the functions. While Vistara refused to comment on the special flights that it had introduced for the weekend (the airline doesn't fly to Udaipur), there are reports of 1000 luxury cars being arranged for the guests.
Manish Malhotra was one of the first guests to arrive in Udaipur on Thursday. And the 52-year-old designer took no time to update his social media, posting a picture with the bride's parents, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and wife Nita.
In what is going to be one the the biggest weddings of the year, Isha and Anand - both Ivy-League graduates - will tie the knot at Antilia, in a traditional ceremony at the Ambani residence, on December 12. But before the big day, they are making sure that their guests get a chance to experience the big, Indian wedding party over the weekend.
An earlier statement released by the families said, "During the weekend prior to the wedding, the Ambani and Piramal families will host their friends and family in Udaipur, where they are partnering with artisans and craftsmen to integrate local culture and traditions into the festivities."

Ajay and Swati Piramal's son, Anand, had proposed to Isha at a temple in Mahabaleshwar, earlier this year. Following which the families have been in celebratory mood, starting with a Ghor Dana in May at Antilia, a three-day engagement bash at the picturesque Lake Como in September, and a Graha Shanti puja last month.
Prior to the wedding, the Ambani family also visited numerous temples across the country including, Siddhivinayak, Kedarnath-Badrinath, Tirupati, Guruvayoor, Sri Ramanathaswamy and Ambaji shrines, to offer the wedding invitation and seek blessings.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, who tied the knot in a Christian ceremony at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan palace on Saturday, took to Instagram to share pictures from their sangeet ceremony. It was a night of love and laughter as the couples' families and friends grooved the night away.
The 36-year-old actress wrote on Instagram, "Nick and I were looking forward to the sangeet (musical evening), another pre-wedding ritual... and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was."
