For ARMYs across the world, the past few years have felt like a long pause button, filled with solo projects, countdowns, and endless hope. Now, that wait has officially ended. BTS are back as seven, and they are taking their music on the road again. The K-pop supergroup has finally announced their much-awaited world tour, sending fans into a frenzy. But the big question on Indian fans’ minds remains: will BTS finally perform in India in 2026?

BTS world tour 2026 announced

The excitement around the announcement is massive, and understandably so. This marks BTS’ first full-scale global tour since the members reunited after completing their mandatory military service. The group last toured together before their hiatus, and for many fans, this upcoming tour feels like a long-overdue celebration.




BTS officially revealed the routing of their 2026–2027 world tour on Weverse, the fan community platform, before sharing more details through a formal press release. According to the announcement, the tour will span 34 cities across five continents, with a total of 79 shows planned so far. More cities are expected to be added later, keeping hopes alive for regions that didn’t make the initial list.




The timing couldn’t have been better. The tour announcement came just weeks after BTS released their comeback single on March 20, 2026, marking their first group release in nearly three years.

Venues and world tour dates

The world tour will begin in South Korea, making it a special homecoming moment for BTS. The group will perform three shows at Goyang Stadium on April 9 and April 11–12, 2026. From there, they will head to Japan for two concerts at the iconic Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18.

These opening shows are expected to set the tone for the tour, both musically and visually. As confirmed in the press release, BTS will perform on a 360-degree, in-the-round stage, designed to give fans a fully immersive concert experience while increasing audience capacity at stadium venues.

North America, Europe and Latin America get major focus

North America will host the largest leg of the tour, with 12 cities and 28 shows scheduled between late April and early September 2026. The run begins in Tampa and El Paso before moving through major cities such as Mexico City, Stanford, Las Vegas, East Rutherford, Toronto and Chicago. The North American leg will conclude with four back-to-back shows in Los Angeles.

Europe will see BTS performing across five major cities in June and July 2026. Concerts are scheduled in Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich and Paris, ensuring strong representation across the continent.

Latin America also gets major attention this time. BTS will perform in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil between October 2 and October 31, marking one of the most extensive Latin American tours ever undertaken by a K-pop act.

Asia-Pacific leg and the India question

The Asia-Pacific segment of the tour will run from November 2026 into early 2027. BTS will perform in Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines. However, India does not feature on the current list of tour stops.

That said, fans shouldn’t lose hope just yet. BTS’ team has clearly stated that more cities are expected to be announced. Given the explosive growth of K-pop in India and the massive Indian ARMY presence, speculation is already high that an India date could be added in a later phase of the tour.

Ticket sales and booking details

Ticket sales will begin with an exclusive presale for ARMY Membership holders on January 22 and 23, local time. General ticket sales will open across all regions on January 24. While ticket prices have not yet been revealed, previous BTS tours have ranged from affordable seating to premium packages, depending on venue and location.
