Integrity, ethics, and compassion have been 315Work Avenue MD's learning from his father

Manas Mehrotra, MD and Founder, 315Work Avenue, a leading co-working company has learnt a lot from his father. On Father's Day, he shared his learning.

He told ET Panache, "I learnt from my father that a life lived with integrity, ethics, and compassion is one worth living. He didn't just teach me, he showed me by example. These values have kept me going during tough times and have helped me turn challenges into successful ventures. He showed me how important it was to stand on my own feet, with my own strength. He would always make it a point to tell me that he had faith and confidence in me and trusted my every decision."

Mehrotra's father has been there for him through his entrepreneurial voyage and he looked up to him for guidance.


"I learnt the values of responsibility and honesty and that you need to take the onus of your life and be honest with everything you do. An epitome of simplicity and a man of principles, he taught me a lot about strength, hard work, and how you have to keep fighting even when things aren’t going well–they always come around eventually," he shared.

There have been many insights on leadership that Mehrotra has learnt from his father while growing up.

"I always admire him for his courage, positivity, honesty and sense of fairness. He taught me to fight the business battle with my own innovative ideas and understanding. He always emphasized that if you have a clear path, it allows you to take clear steps every day towards it," he said.

Among the many lessons that his father taught him over the years the most important thing was that in business act with the utmost integrity in all dealings and interactions, and to understand that there are no shortcuts.

"These lessons have played a pivotal role in shaping me into the entrepreneur I am today and the businesses I continue to build. He believed in leading life on his terms and I live by his principles till date," Mehrotra ended.
