Imitation game: Virat Kohli shows fans how Shikhar Dhawan behaves on field when he is 'lost in space'

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli took away everyone's Monday blues by giving his fans a reason to smile as he shared a video of himself mimicking his fellow cricketer Shikhar Dhawan. Kohli took to Twitter and shared a funny video with his over 44 million followers of him imitating Dhawan.

Flaunting a basic t-shirt and jogger, Kohli appears before the camera with a bat in his hand. "Hi, this is Virat Kohli and I am going to mimic Shikhar Dhawan because I feel he is lost in his space so much it's very funny and I have seen it many times from the other end," Kohli says in the video before he starts impersonating Dhawan.



Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty called the impression "Brilliant", while Kohli's fan praised the star and called him a "terrific actor".


Kohli then did a perfect impression of Dhawan's batting stance before dodging the ball. The 32-year-old will be leading India to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup which begins on Monday with a warm-up match against England in Dubai. Team India will play their second and final practice match on Wednesday against Australia.

The ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was appointed in the new role last month, on Sunday joined the team camp as its mentor for the T20 World Cup, two days after leading his team, Chennai Super Kings to their fourth IPL victory. The 40-year-old Dhoni's new role as mentor of Team India is limited to the T20 World Cup.

India fielding coach R Sridhar also penned an emotional note and thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for giving him the chance to serve the national side. Sridhar's tenure ends following the conclusion of the ongoing T20 World Cup and the coach said he has accomplished his job with passion and commitment.
