'I love you, Dad.' KK's daughter Taamara pens an emotional farewell note for her father

After giving a power-packed performance on Tuesday, the singer left for his hotel room where he said he was "feeling heavy". Soon, KK collapsed and was rushed to the hospital in Kolkata where he was declared dead.

Several fans of the singer have blamed the authorities and venue, alleging that they saw KK sweating profusely on stage, wiping his face with a towel and complaining about the air conditioning. The singer performed at the concert organised by Gurudas College in south Kolkata's Nazrul Mancha for almost an hour in the evening on Tuesday.

Days before KK's sudden demise, another popular singer Edava Basheer passed away while performing live on stage at a function in Kerala on Saturday night. He was 78. The Malayalam singer was a special guest at an event, held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the popular music group Bhima's Blue Diamond Orchestra.

He was singing a Hindi song 'Mano Ho Thum' when he collapsed on the stage at the end of the song. The singer was then rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Renowned Kathakali dancer Madavoor Vasudevan Nair passed away on February 6, 2018. He was 89. Nair was performing at Agasthyamcode Mahadeva Temple in Kollam's Anchal when he suddenly collapsed on stage.

Phuyal was playing the role of King Janak in Maharshi Yagyawalkya when he sustained injuries after falling off the stage during performance. He was rushed to the Bir Hospital where he breathed his last.
