The post-mortem was conducted at the SSK government hospital in Kolkata which went on for over an hour and half and was also recorded on video.
Famed singer KK, aka Krishnakumar Kunnath, passed away on Tuesday night after a live performance in Kolkata. The 53-year-old was performing at a concert organised by a college at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata on Tuesday when he complained about ‘feeling heavy’ and after reaching the hotel he collapsed.
After his show, the singer was rushed to a hospital at 10pm, but could not be saved. However, he was declared dead at the spot. While doctors opine that he passed away due to cardiac arrest, a post-mortem will be conducted into the singer’s death to ascertain the exact cause.
According to a report in Times Now, KK died of a massive cardiac arrest. The post-mortem ruled out unnatural death and revealed that the singer had a chronic liver and a sever lung condition.
The post-mortem was conducted at the SSK government hospital in Kolkata. The process went on for over an-hour-and-a-half and was also recorded on video.

Several known personalities across the country paid respect to the singer upon hearing the news about KK's sudden demise.
The singer received gun salute at Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata. The tribute ceremony was attended by chief minister Mamata Banerjee and KK's family members. The singer's mortal remains were taken to the airport via a 'green corridor'. His body will be flown to Mumbai where his last rites will be performed on Thursday.
As a playback singer, he has recorded popular Bollywood numbers such as 'Ankhon Mein Teri' (Om Shanti Om), 'Zara Sa' (Jannat), 'Khuda Jaane' (Bachna Ae Hasino) and 'Tadap Tadap' (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam).
A versatile singer, KK has also recorded songs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali, among other languages.
