I’m currently reading Louis Fischer’s biography of Mahatma Gandhi, inspired by a recent trip to the Sabarmati Ashram with my kids. It’s nice to read a non-textbook view of the man we’re all conditioned to admire.

My iPhone 5 is a loyal companion. I hope it’s not time yet to upgrade.

Anything from my husband’s phone, which ranges from jugalbandis to U2. We recently downloaded the album ‘Legends Forever’ which has Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma and Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia performing together.

Shopping destination

I take advantage of whichever city i’m in. I recently bought some beautiful saris from Biswa Bangla in Kolkata. For western wear, i always find something at Massimo Dutti.

Restaurant

I find myself craving the soupy dumplings of Taiwanese restaurant ‘ Din Tai Fung’ at the oddest moments. In Mumbai, it’s Swati Snacks or Gajalee.
