Hindi version of Yash-starrer 'KGF: Chapter 2' enters Rs 200 crore club, set to cross lifetime business of 'Dangal'

People are returning to the movie theatres, and 'KGF: Chapter 2' is one of the top choices.

The Yash-starrer's Hindi-dubbed version has managed to earn 219.56 crore, and there's no stopping it.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh is optimistic that the Hindi version film will reach the Rs 270 crore-mark in its first week. He said that the movie was unstoppable, and held strong on a working Monday, making Rs 25.57 crore.


The movie critic is also positive that 'KGF 2' will cross the lifetime business of 'Dangal' with its current pace.

The movie minted Rs 53.95 crore on its release day (April 14). During the extended weekend, it made Rs 46.79 crore on (Good Friday), Rs 42.90 crore (Saturday), and Rs 50.35 crore (Sunday). The movie's Hindi version entered the Rs 100 crore club on Day 2.


The movie joined 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and 'RRR' in reviving the theatrical business in India, after the two-year-long pandemic.

The movie (all versions) made Rs 134.50 crore on its opening day, and smashed all previously held records.


'KGF 2' released at 10,000+ screens worldwide - 4400+ in North India, 2600+ in South India, the Hindi version overseas in 1100 screens, and 2900 overseas (in other language.


The movie was released nationwide in five languages - Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.

Helmed by Prashanth Neel, 'KGF: Chapter 2' is a sequel to the Kannada blockbuster 'KGF: Chapter 1'.

Starring Yash in the lead, the first part's narrative follows an underdog who later becomes a dangerous gangster.

The sequel also stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, John Kokken and Saran.
