Hindi version of Yash-starrer 'KGF: Chapter 2' enters Rs 100 cr club, crosses box-office performance of 'Baahubali 2' & 'Dangal'

Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the multi-starrer drama 'RRR' has proven to be one of the biggest pandemic hits as the film has successfully crossed over Rs 300 crore at the box-office in India so far. The film stars N.T. Rama Rao Jr, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles.

Film-maker Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' released on March 11. It has occupied TV news debates due to its content. Rave reviews from across the country has led the drama to mint around Rs 200 crore, and counting, collections so far. The film, starring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Johsi, Darshan Kumar and others, narrates the trauma of Kashmiri Pandits.

A simple story of good-vs-bad - with power-packed dialogue and groovy songs set the box-office on fire in 2021 winter. The film by director Sukumar, which released on December 17 year, was a huge hit as it successfully earned around Rs 300 crore. The film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-awaited film based on a book by Hussain Zaidi, released on February 25 starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role. The film had an amazing run at the box-office and managed to earn over Rs 119 crore.

Film-maker Jon Watts's superhero film by Marvel was without a doubt the first pandemic release that shattered box-office records globally. 'Spider-Man: No Way Home', starring Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, Zendaya and Andrew Garfield among others released on December 16 in India and earned over Rs 260 crore in the domestic market.

The Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif-starrer film by director Rohit Shetty released on November 5 after a lot of wait and rescheduling due to the pandemic. 'Sooryavanshi', an action drama, was a hit, earning over Rs 194 crore.

Film-maker Matt Reeves's 'The Batman' starring Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz released on March 4 this year. The film is being touted as one of the most successful 'part one' superhero movies of all times, thanks to its commercial success. The film earned big bucks globally, while minting around Rs 50 crore in India.

Directed by Kabir Khan, '83' released on December 24 in theatres. The sports drama on India's historical cricket World Cup win in 1983, starred Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The film was a commercial success and grossed over Rs 124 crore in India.

Film-maker Vanu Sriram's 'Vakeel Saab', a remake of the 2016 Hindi film 'Pink', starred Pawan Kalyan, Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj and Shruti Haasan. The film released in 2021 and enjoyed a good run at the box-office by earning Rs 100 crore approximately.
