The cricketer, who underwent a surgery recently, was spotted wearing the timepiece in a picture that he shared on social media while announcing the news.
Over the weekend, cricketer Hardik Pandya took to Twitter and Instagram to share an image of himself in a hospital bed in London. He shared with fans and well-wishers that he had undergone a surgery. It was the gold watch on his tattooed left hand with which he showed a thumbs up that caught the attention of many on the picture sharing social sites.

Fans recognised the watch to be a Patek Philippe Nautilus that is an eagerly pursued or sought after watch. Made by Swiss luxury watchmaker, Patek Philippe - the timepiece is priced anywhere between Rs 80 lakh and Rs 13 crore.
Rahul Ganjoo, Vice President Product of Zomato tweeted some more information about the watch saying that it had an 'eight-year waitlist to be on the waitlist'. To this Pandya replied saying that, Ganjoo knows watches.

Brazillian model Izabelle Leite quizzed the all-rounder on whether he wore the watch for the surgery to which he replied, that he did.

The watch is designed by legendary watch designer, Gérald Genta. The watch was designed in the early 1970s by the designer in a restaurant in Basel while at a watch fair. The shapes of portholes on luxury cruise line ships was the inspiration for the Nautilus.
Genta told a watch website in 2009 that he asked a waiter to bring him a pen and paper with which he drew the watch in less time that it takes him to eat a starter. In 1976, the mechanical watch came to life and was branded as the first luxury sports watch by Patek.
Made of stainless steel, the Patek Philippe Nautilus was marketed and advertised as "One of the world's costliest watches that is made of stainless steel."
