Cricketer Ishan Kishan says the thrill of a high-speed drive gets his adrenalin pumping.

First car
“It was my father’s car, a Hyundai Verna, which we still have at home. As soon as I got the keys to the car for the first time and tried to drive it, I crashed it in my parking lot. However, nobody knew I did it. My father started yelling at the driver, and only learnt I did it after five to six hours! But I learnt a valuable lesson from the incident, that I need to be more careful.”

Car you want to own

“I want to own a Lamborghini Veneno as it is good looking and super fast too. The Apollo IE is also something I want to own, but it’s too costly.”

Current car
“A BMW X3, which I recently purchased. It is shiny blue in colour and has beautiful interiors. Interiors are important to me, because one spends most of the time inside and not outside a car. “My favourite thing about this car is its speed. I also love the sound it produces. The lights inside the car are also nice; you can even change its look, which is a nice feature.”

Person I like talking cars with
“Hardik Pandya. He knows a lot about cars. Every time I think about buying a car, I go to him and ask for advice. You can just tell him your budget and he will know which car to get and all the features of all the models within that range.”



Best drive
“I was driving my friend’s Mercedes Benz G-Class Wagon. It wasn’t a road trip, but the drive was really good. The car was super fast, and it gave me great pleasure to be driving it.”

Favourite scene from a movie
“'Fast and the Furious' has a number of memorable car scenes. The racing moments are top-notch. The very best scene for me, however, is Vin Diesel driving the American muscle, a Dodge Charger.”

Car to make an entry in
“If it’s at an event, then of course, a Rolls-Royce. Either a Ghost or a Phantom. But if my friends are along, then a Lamborghini for sure.”

Maintenance tip
“I always ask my driver to ensure the car is clean. Even if it is not that dirty, I keep applying wax on the car to keep it nice and shiny.”

My car’s name
“I would name my car ‘Muscle’. Because my car is raw and muscle-like. It is also nice and strong. When I am driving, I feel cars that are ahead of me should look behind and give me the space to go ahead.”
