Streaming details of Hanuman Ansh
However, fans waiting to watch Hanuman Ansh online may have to wait longer. While many Hindi films usually make their digital debut after an eight-week theatrical window, Hanuman Ansh is reportedly taking a different route.According to 123Telugu, the makers are keen to keep the film running in cinemas for as long as possible because of its continued box-office performance. With the Telugu-dubbed version also arriving in theatres, the film still has another theatrical phase ahead.
This means viewers waiting for the movie to arrive on an OTT platform may have to wait longer. An official streaming platform and release date have not been announced in the information available.
The Telugu-dubbed version of Hanuman Ansh is reportedly scheduled to release next Friday. The decision to bring the dubbed version to theatres comes while the original film is still performing strongly.
The additional theatrical release is another reason why the makers may not be rushing towards an OTT premiere.
Hanuman Ansh continues its blockbuster run
Hanuman Ansh has continued to perform strongly even after spending several weeks in theatres. The devotional film is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, the revered spiritual guru, and has found a strong audience despite facing competition from major releases. The film has also managed to maintain its momentum after the release of Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3, which has taken a sizeable number of screens across the country.
After 57 days in theatres, Hanuman Ansh has reportedly crossed the ₹419 crore mark worldwide. The figure puts the film among the most profitable Indian movies in recent times, especially considering its reported production budget.
The film has also crossed the ₹300 crore net mark in India, adding another major milestone to its theatrical run.
Made on a budget of less than Rs 2 crore
One of the biggest talking points around Hanuman Ansh has been its reported budget. The film was reportedly made for less than ₹2 crore, making its massive box-office earnings even more notable. The difference between its reported production cost and theatrical earnings has turned the movie into an exceptional commercial success. Its performance has also continued well beyond the initial weeks of its release.
The release of Drishyam 3 has affected the screen count of several holdover films, but Hanuman Ansh has managed to maintain its run.
On its eighth Saturday, the film reportedly collected Rs 2.10 crore from 1,339 screens, compared with Rs 2.25 crore from 1,166 screens on its eighth Friday.
Despite losing screens to Drishyam 3, the devotional film continues to bring audiences to theatres.
