Han Digital Solution's CEO bought a Jaipur designer suit during the lockdown

Han Digital Solution Founder and CEO Saravanan Balasundaram's everyday lockdown outfit are shorts or denims and t-shirt or Chinese collar shirts to suit his daily schedules.

"Most of the time I am comfortable with shorts and t-shirts as I have two little kids at home, lending help to engage them in between work breaks gives lot of joy at home. It works simply because of the comfort and it makes you feel who you are and how you want others to see you," he tells ET Panache.

Style hack
"I ensure that I’m well shaven for any impromptu video calls. I pick up bright colour t-shirts or grab my favourite Chinese collar shirts with rolled up sleeves to reflect a relaxed attitude. Most of the time I wear slim fit Chinos shorts. I also equally give importance to well-lit ambience," he says.


Chinos shorts with tees or Chinese collar shirts with casual clogs is what Balasundaram has been wearing through the lockdown.

Special clothes
For strategy meeting with the team, during the pandemic, Balasundaram enjoys wearing denims with semi-casual shirts.

"Prior to Covid, I was always a formal clothing person. Usually I go with flat-front pants and tailormade fit full sleeve shirts to accentuate slim outlook," he says.

Pitch or networking, it's mostly milky white shirts or very light colour shirts from BrookBrothers or Bombay shirts to suit his blazers.

"If the occasion is solicited, I pick up shirts with suited cufflinks options. I have not tried drinks with friends over Zoom. Fortunately, I am surrounded by friends to indulge a fresh cup of beverages or drinks in person. I prefer denims with relaxed polo tees," Balasundaram says.

Brand bags
After having tried various brands, for the past five years, Balasundaram has gifted himself a good collection of linen shorts, varied designer shirts from a brand called PUDU.

"Red or blue shorts with white colour linen is my favourite and it has never gone wrong. In the outdoors, it gives immense pleasure," he says.

Guilty buy
"I bought a Jaipur designer suit and a boat shoe from Ruosh for a planned occasion and I am still awaiting a chance to wear," he says.

Balasundaram misses his formal white shirts, flat front formal pants and blazers. "While professionals like me may be relishing the relaxed attire that not leaving home allows for. I aspire that many of us can’t wait to get dressed for work again – I’m definitely in that crowd," he says.

Mask wear
"Initially, it was the most recommended N95. Later, I tried generic ones. Quickly I realised that we must make masks as part of our life and lifestyle. For the past five months, I use designer ones," he says.
