My everyday look I wear what I would normally wear to work – denim jeans and a polo t-shirt. I find that this combo is the most comfortable when it comes to everyday wear. When it comes to polos, Massimo Dutti or Polo Ralph Lauren are my go-to brand. My favourite pair of jeans are my Zara jeans.
Zoom in When it comes to a Zoom meeting, if it’s a casual catch-up with my team then I wear a polo tee. For more formal meetings, I put on a shirt. Sprucing up before a call is important. I often just simply wash my face and fixing my hair to look fresh before a call.
What, wear, when Since the office culture is casual, our workwear is casual. So for a meeting with my team, I’m relaxed in a tee, jeans and with a cup of coffee. A nice pair of comfortable jeans are a must – I have about 7 pairs from Zara which I use daily and 3 pairs of Diesel jeans which I wear to go out.
Pitch perfect For a pitch meeting, I would prefer go a little more formal and switch a tee with an Oxford shirt. I like wearing blue or white when I do online calls. As far as jeans or pants go, I guess it doesn’t really matter. One item I miss wearing is my Ralph Lauren sports coat which I usually wear while travelling for meetings.
Downtime When it comes to socialising online, I like to keep it very casual. A tee and lounge shorts which is my at home outfit. No slippers or shoes for me – I like to be barefoot at home. Some of my favourite loungewear brands include Tommy Hilfiger and Zara. The comfort is great and I like the quality of fabric.

Treat yourself During the lockdown, I bought a couple of Fred Perry polos as I got a great deal on them. I do a closet clean-up every 3 months or so. Furthermore, as I live in Goa, I keep my closet well ventilated to prevent clothes from smelling musty due to high humidity.

“I decided to use this opportunity to improve my physical conditioning. I started cycling (after more than 40 years) inside my gated community from mid-April. I went from seven kilometres per ride to 20 kilometres by the end of June. Recently, I did a 52-kilometre ride to Chikka Tirupathi [on the outskirts of Bengaluru]. Cycling has had a huge impact, not just on my physical conditioning but also my confidence.”

“Startups are quite demanding, so I’ve never been able to work out more than three days a week, even when I trained for the Ironman Triathlon. So, when the lockdown was announced, I decided to challenge myself with a ‘consistency goal’ of accomplishing a workout a day. It began with coordinated workouts on Zoom with my friends and as restrictions eased, I started going for outdoor runs. There were days when there would be so many calls that I’d be seen climbing the building stairs at 10 pm. I now have more than 100 days of workouts under my belt and it has been the biggest stressbuster.”

“During the lockdown, I have managed to master single-leg burpees. It’s important to have a defined schedule and stick to it. I ensure that I block out some time during the day for exercise. I work out at home daily with various bodyweight exercises — I do pushups, burpees and air squats. I love doing CrossFit and high-intensity interval training that combines weightlifting, aerobics, powerlifting and gymnastics.”
