Haiwaan OTT release: When and where to watch

As per reports, Haiwaan will be available to stream on SonyLIV. An official streaming date has not been confirmed in the information currently available. The movie marked the final appearance of the veteran actor Asrani, who died in 2025.

What is Haiwaan about?

Written and directed by Priyadarshan, Haiwaan follows Shyam Rane, played by Saif Ali Khan, a visually impaired man who works as the maintenance manager of an upscale residential society in Mumbai. Although he cannot see, Shyam has an extraordinary sense of hearing, smell and spatial awareness. He is also trained in martial arts.

Shyam shares a close bond with Justice Pradhan, a retired Chief Justice played by Boman Irani. However, Pradhan has a troubled past involving Parshuram Gokhale, a man he once sentenced to prison. After losing his family while he was behind bars, Parshuram becomes consumed by anger and seeks revenge against those he holds responsible for his suffering.

Fearing that Parshuram may come after him, Pradhan shares a secret with Shyam. He has a daughter named Nandini, who lives at a missionary school in Dehradun for her safety. He asks Shyam to protect her if anything happens to him. When Pradhan is murdered, Shyam finds himself caught in a dangerous situation, making him a suspect. He navigates the police investigation while trying to keep the young girl safe.

Shyam has to use his heightened senses to identify people and stay ahead of danger.
