Haiwaan OTT release: When and where will the film stream?
As per Filmi Beat, Haiwaan has secured its digital rights with SonyLIV. However, the makers and the streaming platform have not officially announced the exact OTT premiere date yet.This means viewers will have to wait for a confirmed date before planning to watch the film online. The theatrical run will also play a role in deciding when the movie makes its digital debut.
Films often arrive on streaming platforms several weeks after their cinema release. If Haiwaan follows a similar six-to-eight-week window, its OTT premiere could possibly be around mid-October or towards the end of October. However, this is only an estimated timeframe and should not be considered the official release date.
What is Haiwaan about?
The film brings Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar together on screen after their 2008 film Tashan. Saif plays Shyam, a blind caretaker who gets caught in a murder case after retired Judge Pradhan is killed.Shyam becomes a suspect and is forced to run while trying to prove that he is innocent. His situation becomes even more complicated when he takes responsibility for protecting Nandini, who is revealed to be the judge's secret daughter. Powerful people are also searching for her, putting Shyam in greater danger.
Akshay plays Parshuram, a ruthless killer who is after Nandini. His pursuit of her brings him into direct conflict with Shyam, making the battle between the two characters an important part of the story.
The film is reportedly adapted from Priyadarshan's 2016 Malayalam film Oppam. The director has also worked with Akshay on films such as Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Bhooth Bangla.
