Google to steal Apple's thunder? Tech firm may unveil Pixel 6 & Pixel 6 Pro a day before iPhone 13 series launch

It looks like September is going to be packed with new tech launches as there are several new products lined-up to hit the market. Since last week, Apple has been making headlines for its much awaited launch of iPhone 13 series but going by latest reports, Google is here to steal the thunder.
The tech giant Google is planning to launch its Pixel 6 series line-up this month, right before Apple's big showdown. The reports suggest that Google will hold its launch event on September 13, a day before Apple's big event on September 14 where it's predicted to launch the much anticipated iPhone 13 series.
However, both the companies have not yet officially announced the launch dates. The Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly planning to launch the upcoming the new models of iPhone 13 such as iPhone13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max and the iPhone 13 Mini at the event.
Now according to Weibo, Google wants to take the limelight off its tech rival by unveiling Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the new range which was already teased by the company, at the virtual launch said to be held on September 13. Both the new smartphones will be powered by Google's inhouse custom-designed Tensor chipset.
Though the tech company hasn't yet revealed much detail on the hardware specifications of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, it is believed that the latter will come packed with three cameras set-up and also support 4x optical zoom.
Whereas Pixel 6 might just skip the telephoto sensor all together. Other specification details mention that the Pixel 6 series might run on 33W fast charging support. Until now, the Pixel supports 18W charging speed at maximum. Rumours also suggest that Pixel 6 Pro will offer a massive 12GB of RAM with storage capacity that can go up to 512GB.

Intel-owned Mobileye announced updates for use in autonomous vehicles. The company said that by 2025, it wants to move towards using its radar-based technology and single lidar sensor per vehicle in a bid to lower autonomous driving expenses. It plans to tap sensors from Luminar Technologies Inc for a planned fleet of so-called robotaxis, which are commercial vehicles meant to carry passengers.
