Google marks the beginning of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 with animated doodle
10 teams will contest with each other in a month-long tournament.

Google Doodle Marks Start Of Cricket World Cup 2019
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 begins today and search engine giant Google is commemorating the opening of the mega tournament.
The animated doodle features a cricket ball and three stumps. On clicking the doodle, one can see a bowler delivering a ball and batsman hitting it before the ball is caught by a fielder.
This year, however the format of the World Cup has undergone a slight change. Each team will be required to play other nine teams in the group stages, after which the top four will qualify for the semifinals.
While the final is set for July 14, hosts England will face South Africa in the first match of the tournament today.
This doodle has a reach in countries like India, Pakistan, hosts United Kingdom, Iceland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

The 2019 CWC is the 12th edition of the tournament.

India is among the strong contenders at the tournament. The men in blue being led by skipper Virat Kohli, some explosive bowling from Jasprit Bumrah, MSDhoni and Rohit Sharma, expectations are riding high on the team to bring back the world cup for the third time.

India's cricket squad is all set for the 2019 ICC World Cup in London. While the Virat Kohli-led team is gearing up to take on the Proteas on June 5, they took a break from all the preparation and got together with Bollywood celebrities for a gala night. Indian Cricket Heroes, hosted by the Haryana Hurricane, Kapil Dev, and business tycoon Sanjiv Goenka, honoured the aces of cricket and was high on enthusiasm and glamour.
The red carpet of the big event was graced by the Kohli-led team, and celebrities like Aditi Rao Hydari, Farhan Akhtar, Diana Penty and Rajkummar Rao also showed up in attendance.
