If gin has been your go-to drink this season, you likely to have tried the many delicious cocktails that the herb-infused spirit is often used for.

But how about doing something different this weekend.

Kou-Yo combines gin with honey, orange and sansho pepper – the quintessential spice used in many Japanese preparations, and if that doesn't get your excited there's a matcha green tea cocktail that's the perfect summery Japanese drink.

Kou-Yo

Ingredients
Roku: 45 ml
Honey water: 20 ml

Orange juice: 40 ml
Lime juice: 25 ml
Sansho pepper powder: A pinch for garnish

Method

Mix all the ingredients together and shake
- Strain into glass. Garnish and serve

Ingredients
Roku Gin: 45 ml
Matcha: 1/2 tsp
Matcha syrup: 1 tsp
Cold water: 45 ml

- Mix all the ingredients together
- Stir and pour into glass
