The video, posted on Instagram, opens to a formal online meeting between the CEO and founder of RemoteStar, Naresh Harwani and a team of employees. The London-based, AI-powered recruitment and staffing organization helps companies to hire, vet, and manage top-tier remote engineering and technical teams. What began as a fairly normal virtual meeting soon turned into a harmless jest fest when a female employee appeared on the screen, her face smeared with a neem face mask — a pure Gen-Z move.


After turning on her camera, the employee started giving a brief about her task, a towel wrapped over her head, and nonchalantly sipping on a beverage, effortlessly blending self-care with work. The woman’s unusual appearance prompted her colleagues to break into soft giggles and delightful chuckles. Even the CEO couldn’t seem to control his smile, although he gave a patient ear to her brief.

CEO’s reaction wins hearts

After the employee wrapped up her session, Naresh Harwani joined in the light-hearted banter and asked the woman, ‘What face mask is this?’, guessing that it was black seaweed. He was wrong. The employee revealed that the face mask had the goodness of the neem plant in it and also playfully suggested to the CEO to try it, sparking a fresh wave of laughter from everyone.
