Gautam Gambhir (L) pointed at Pakistan-occupied Kashmir while responding to Shahid Afridi (R).
Minutes after Home Minister Amit Shah proposed to scrap Article 370 and Article 35-A from the Constitution, micro-blogging platform Twitter was flooded with a variety of tweets. This time, the responses also came from across the LOC. While most of the responses from Pakistan cited the BJP president's move inappropriate and in no interest of Kashmir, former cricketer Shahid Afridi deemed it an action against humanity. He went on to request the United Nations and US President Donald Trump to intervene on the matter. The former all-rounder's request, however, received an epic response from East Delhi MP and former batsman Gautam Gambhir.

On Twitter, Gambhir said that Afridi should be lauded for bringing the case up. However, he added, that the former all-rounder forgot to mention that everything he wrote is happening in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Afridi, on Monday, demanded the right to freedom for Kashmiris. He referred to the UN resolution in his tweet and requested the body to intervene on the matter. He also pointed at the 'aggression and crimes' taking place, and also requested US President Donald Trump to mediate.

On Monday, Shah tabled a proposal in Rajya Sabha seeking the abolition of the Article 370 and Article 35-A that gave Kashmiris a special status. He also requested for the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union territories with a legislature. President Ram Nath Kovind then came out with a notification -- The Constitution (Application to Jammu and Kashmir) Order, 2019 that came into force immediately.
