As a passionate health-tech entrepreneur, it is natural that Deepak Sahni, founder, Healthians, would have a bond with technology that goes beyond professional engagements. Sahni shares that he can’t survive even two days without the internet and his smartphones. “I can’t live without my laptop, my phones and my headphones,” he says. Handsets within reach Sahni keeps his new iPhone 11Pro, which he recently picked up from Japan, within reach. “I chose the iPhone because of its ability to type faster and its face unlock security feature,” he says. He also wears an Apple Watch Series 4 and carries a Samsung S9+ handset, which makes him not so dependent on either the iOS or Android ecosystem.
Staying productive
Sahni’s latest tech fancy is his Bamboo notebook that converts all that he writes into digital text or transferable images. Synced to his iPhone, the notebook sends all the digital data to the handset and allows him to share it with his colleagues. “I am always tempted by gadgets that can help me quickly record new ideas, thoughts and reminders to work efficiently. I like technology that helps improve productivity, he says.
Practising detox Sahni is a frequent user of the app called Cheatsheet, which helps him create multiple sheets to take notes and store them for future reference. But that doesn’t mean the startup boss puts technology over his family and friends. He practises detox from devices during dinner hours and before going to sleep. “I try to turn off notifications and keep my phones away from my bed,” he says. Apps of choice Sahni is a frequent user of the app called Cheatsheet, which helps him create multiple sheets to take notes and store them for future reference. “It is a handy platform to start taking notes, then share those sheets. It is also quickly accessible from the cloud,” he says. Lumosity, CamScanner and Blinkist are three other apps he uses often.
