Fried, scrambled & poached: Five places that serve eggs just right
Fried, scrambled, poached — we round up our favourite samples in the city.

-The Nutcracker: While this Kala Ghoda eatery is famous for their Parsi style eggs, they've got a new addition to the menu — Turkish Eggs (Rs 280). This anytime meal includes a beautiful poached egg on a bed of hung yogurt that's been infused with garlic. Topped with chilli oil drizzle, an in-house spice mix and crispy burnt onions and served with toasted pita, this meal packs a punch.

-Bombay Canteen: The Kejriwal Toast (Rs 250) has been inspired by a famous dish on The Willingdon Sports Club's menu, which was created at the request of member, Mr Kejriwal. This version includes a single fried egg, melted cheese and green chilli chutney, served on in-house toasted bread.

-Salt Water Café: This bagel (Rs 550) consists of a lightly scrambled egg along with a generous portion of smoked salmon. Topped with a pickled cucumber to add crunch and a bit of acidity that balances the cream cheese, this is a must-have on the menu. Paired with a hot coffee, it makes for an indulgent breakfast.

-Irish House: The Irish Burger (Rs 450) is a hard patty to forget. It includes a pounded meat patty topped with a golden sunny side up fried egg that is just the right amount of runny yolk, jalapeño cheese sauce, cheddar and caramelised onions. Served with gherkins and crispy fries, it's a real treat.

-Silver Beach Café: Soft poached eggs with classic Hollandaise sauce on buttered Panini garlic spinach and grilled chicken salami — the Eggs Benedict (Rs 145) is a great breakfast option. The poached egg is the start of this meal and we love the presentation. It's filling, delicious and best of all, easy on the pocket.
