You+Me - Against the World – Amazon Prime Video
If romance with a little suspense is more your weekend mood, You+Me – Against the World brings both together. The Amazon Prime Video series is adapted from Emma Green’s best-selling trilogy and follows Alma, an aspiring filmmaker who has kept her ambitions hidden from her wealthy family.
She crosses paths with Vadim, a rebellious man with a troubled past, while working on a film project. What begins as an unexpected connection gradually turns into a romance. However, things take a darker turn when an anonymous stalker starts sending threatening messages. Vittoria Di Savoia and Lucas Barski play the central characters. The series will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video this week.
The Scandal – Netflix
The Scandal takes viewers back to the Joseon Dynasty for a period romance filled with seduction, secrets and manipulation. Inspired by the French novel Les Liaisons dangereuses, the K-drama stars Son Ye-jin as Lady Cho and Ji Chang-wook as Cho Won.
The story revolves around a dangerous wager between the two, who set out to seduce Ahn Hui-yeon, played by Nana. But their carefully planned game starts becoming unpredictable as their target gets increasingly caught up in the scheme. The Scandal will stream on Netflix.
Minerva Academy – Netflix
The week’s OTT lineup also has something for viewers looking for a teen drama. Minerva Academy will premiere globally on Netflix on September 22, 2026. Directed by Ivan Silvestrini, the eight-episode series is set inside a strict military high school in Naples, Italy.
The show follows a group of young students as they deal with demanding routines, friendships, personal challenges and the complicated process of growing up. The cast includes Ciro Minopoli, Biagio Venditti and Alicia Edogamhe. Unlike the Friday releases, Minerva Academy arrives early next week, giving viewers another title to add to their upcoming watchlist.
With action, romance, teen drama, Malayalam cinema and relationship stories all arriving across streaming platforms, this Friday brings plenty of options for viewers looking to spend the weekend with a new movie or series.
