Flock CEO has the same work desk across four global offices, says it helps reduce distractions
While his set-up is simple, Turakhia makes sure the focus stays on his work.

Bhavin Turakhia, CEO, Flock, is no stranger to working remotely. In fact, he has four offices around the globe. “My offices are in London, Bengaluru, New York and Dubai. My work desk is exactly the same in all my offices. It helps me reduce distractions and lets me continue from where I left in my last office,” he tells ETPanache from Dubai.
While his set-up is simple, Turakhia makes sure the focus stays on his work. Having three monitors helps. “I work on the three monitors simultaneously. Apart from that, I have a coffee machine, my laptop and yes, my kettle to make coffee, so I don’t have to get up every time to brew it,” says Turakhia.
He also keeps a few good reads around for when he wants a breather from work. “I’ve always been a voracious reader, following in my father’s footsteps. I go through 2-3 titles each month,” he says.
Turakhia worked remotely even pre-Covid, let alone now. “Office hours are being redefined as the time you are available online. I honestly feel going to the ‘office’ is a bit of a corporate scam,” he says.
In his downtime, Turakhia stays focussed on fitness. “Currently, my travel time is saved, so I’m spending those extra hours at the gym. I do a mix of yoga, cycling and strength training,” he says. He’s also trying his hand in the kitchen and what better way to start than with the most important meal of the day? “I love a good breakfast. So far, I have made some of my favourite snacks, like broccoli salad, cucumbercarrot salad and sweet corn salad,” he says.
