Flipkart's new office inspired by Silicon Valley's fun workplaces

While Snapdeal and Flipkart are taking potshots at each other over leadership in the ecommerce market, the latter shifted to a new office recently. Flipkart put up a video welcoming viewers to its "brave new world", which gives a virtual tour of its multi-storied glass facade building at Cessna Business Park in Bengaluru.

The ecommerce company has taken inspiration from fun workplaces of tech giants in the Silicon Valley. "The office space is inspired by human greatness in all walks of lives," Mukesh Bansal says in the video. There are quotes printed on walls, photos of stars from sports, movies, music, technology, science, etc. For Punit Soni, chief product officer, the library on the fourth floor is his favourite space, where giant models of open books adorn the roof.
