Flipkart founders assume new roles

Flipkart has been in the news last year, for additions to its senior management and some exits. At the start of 2016, comes news of the biggest rejig, with the founders assuming new roles.

Binny Bansal will now be CEO and Sachin Bansal, the executive chairman. The founder duo have come a long way since they started Flipkart in 2007, from being counted amongst the leading names of India’s start-up scene to the billion dollar valuation.

And yet, nothing’s better than looking back before they step into the future. Sachin shared an image of the two standing in front of their first office in Koramangala, Bengaluru. The two used to work from a rented two-bedroom apartment when they started. In eight quick years, their office spans multiple buildings.
