Ganesh Chaturthi: Mumbai's famous Lalbaugcha Raja idol unveiled, netizens gush about ‘most handsome king’

Mumbaikars were treated to the first glimpse of Lalbaugcha Raja on Friday (September 15).

Mumbai Matterz, an X handle that covers the happenings in the city, shared a video of the idol being unveiled on the microblogging site. The video shows a huge Ganesha idol, looking resplendent in gold and pink, seated on a dazzling throne.

Netizens flooded the comment section, to celebrate the arrival of the deity of prosperity and good luck.


“Hamare Pyaare Ganesh ji,” (Our beloved Lord Ganesha), gushed an X-user.

Another tweeted the sacred incantation associated with the deity, “Deva deva deva… Ganapati Bappa…”

Another gushed over the adorableness of the idol. “The most handsome king... Lalbaugcha Raja,” they wrote.
