Fingers is a new consumer electronic brand by Dynamic Conglomerate, a company founded by various IT veterans. The brand has launched in India with a bunch of products including the world's first earphones with 3D resonance technology.
What is 3D resonance technology? In layman terms, this technology replicates how sound waves interact with human ears and the environment allowing for a more realistic experience. By using this technology, the Fingers Resonance headphones do stand out from the crowd thanks to their unique sound signature. Its unlike what we have heard from any headphones till date.

For most users, at first the sound might seem a bit flat but after using it for a few hours we realized that the sound output has a wide soundstage that is usually not available in this price segment. What also makes the audio output unique is how these headphones handle the low spectrum of audio which is where the bass resides. It feels as if there is a sub-woofer delivering deep thumping bass in your ear - if you love listening to music with deep bass, you would instantly love the output of Fingers Resonance. Trouble is that at high volume levels (above 70%), the treble starts getting shrill - cross 90% volume and the shrillness starts hurting your ears. Thankfully, the volume level is loud enough that you would rarely need to go above 70% output.
Fingers Resonance comes with a simple neckband design and we liked that its lightweight (27 grams only). It has in-line controls and the mic on the right side of the neckband - mind you it's not on the earphone wire but on the neckband making it easier to access. We also loved that the earbuds wire is a flat wire which meant that it did not get tangles quickly. The microphone works well and we did not have any issue of being inaudible on voice calls. However, the glossy finish on the controls make it prone to scratches and the buttons. What we didn't like is that the earphones have no magnets on them to lock in place around the neck when not being used. The earbuds go in-ear and are comfortable to use for long hours. They even provide a good amount of noise isolation blocking out ambient noises by 70-80%.
Battery life is also fantastic. Fingers claims a 15-hour battery life - using the headphone with a OnePlus 7 and volume level at 60%, they delivered 14 hours of battery backup. At Rs 3,999, Fingers Resonance's unique sound output gives it an edge over the competition. Trouble is that Fingers Resonance faces tough competition in this price segment with competitors from well-known brands such as the Jabra Elite 25s, boat Rockerz 285 and Samsung U Flex.

When something new and interesting is on, the internet is full of discussions, articles and spoilers. If you hate spoilers, you could stop browsing social media or mute words on social networks. But there’s a simple way to block everything in one swoop without really changing browsing habits — use Google Chrome and a free extension called Unspoiler. You need to configure it for each movie/TV show you want to ‘unspoil’ and you’ll get a black bar over each item that you’ve blocked. Having it on your web browser means that it works across everything: Twitter, Facebook, Web et al.

If you use Windows 10 and Android, try a new app from Microsoft called Your Phone Companion. Primarily, it allows you to access your text messages and phone photos from your PC. You will also need to get the ‘Your Phone’ server software for your PC from the Microsoft Store. Both are free. Due to the massive fragmentation on Android, this doesn’t work reliably with all Android phones but if you have a device with Android 7.0+ that costs above Rs 15k, you should be fine. As a bonus, you can also get the Your Phone app on an Xbox One console if you have it.

When you’re shifting smartphone platforms, text messages seem to be the hardest to transfer. Going from Android to Apple is a little easier because Apple offers their own app called Move to iOS on the Google Play Store. This takes care of transferring everything like contacts, contacts, photos/videos, calendar entries and mail accounts. For Apple users going to Android, look out for a similar move/switch app provided by the Android phone manufacturer. If there is none, try an Android app called iSMS2droid. It extracts the SMS information from an iPhone backup and transfers it to your Android phone.

You’ve heard of all the usual cloud storage providers like Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Google Drive, iCloud and so on. But the problem is that the amount of free storage you get with the usual providers is woefully inadequate compared our needs — forcing you to pay a monthly fee for additional storage. Swedish cloud storage provider Degoo (they’ve been around since 2012) offers 100GB of free, encrypted storage per user. There are paid tiers that go up to 10TB but 100GB free is very generous by any standards. They also have free apps for Android and iOS that can back up your photos in full resolution.
