Elon Musk just confessed to cancelling Apple News. Here's why
And, his Twitter family of 59.2 mn followers agrees with him.

Apple News is the Cupertino-based company's news aggregator platform that helps optimise content for iOS, macOS, iPadOS and watchOS users. Articles from various known news publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, People, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Vogue etc also find a place on the platform. While Apple News focuses on every-day news, Apple News Plus has a collection of detailed magazine-style feature stories.
On Friday, Ross Gerber - who is the President and CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management - took to Twitter to express his disappointment at Apple News. Calling it a major source of negativity in his life, the investment advisor, in his post, mentioned that he had cancelled Apple News.
Agreeing with Gerber, Musk promptly replied - "Same."
@GerberKawasaki Same
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) 1629308760000This is not the first time that the SpaceX CEO has complained about Apple. Last year, the smartphone-maker forced app developers to pay a commission of 15 per cent on the first $1 million earned in revenue in a year through the App Store.
Apple app store fees are a de facto global tax on the Internet. Epic is right.
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) 1627664144000It wasn't clear if the billionaire was talking about free Apple News or subscription-based Apple News Plus. But, he had a few nods of approval from his Twitter family of 59.2 million followers.
