Dulquer Salmaan, Aditi Rao Hydari-starrer 'Hey Sinamika' set for OTT release on March 31

Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming Tamil romantic comedy will be released on OTT on March 31. The film directed by choreographer-turned-director Brinda Master will release on Netflix and Jio Cinema.

The film features Kajal Agarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari as the female leads. According to reports, the makers are releasing the film after the movie had a substantial run in theatres. It was released on March 3 worldwide.

Director Brinda took to Twitter to make the announcement. While the film-maker earlier announced that the movie will be released on Netflix, moments later she retweeted several tweets that claimed the movie will also be available on Jio Cinema on the same day.


The film’s title is taken from a song in Dulquer’s ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’ (2015) directed by Mani Ratnam. The film has a music score by popular musician Govind Vasantha. The film was released in Telugu and Malayalam versions. Although the movie received positive reviews, it underperformed at the box-office.

The story of 'Hey Sinamika' revolves around Mouna (Aditi), a weather scientist who falls in love with Yaazhan (Dulquer), a quirky and loving guy. The film chronicles the development of their relationship over the years till Malarvazhi (Kajal) arrives.

On the work front, Dulquer Salmaan will be next seen in filmmaker R Balki's Bollywood film ‘Chup: Revenge Of The Artist’, which marks his return to Hindi films after the 2019 romantic-comedy ‘The Zoya Factor’.
