Actress Ishita Dutta revealed her significant weight loss post-pregnancy was not a planned effort but a consequence of severe health complications. Facing bed rest, gallbladder stones, and delayed surgery due to pregnancy and breastfeeding, she en...

For several months, Ishita had been receiving numerous messages asking how she managed to lose weight so rapidly after childbirth. Deciding to respond transparently, she explained that her pregnancy initially progressed smoothly. During the first two trimesters, she remained active, travelled, continued working, enjoyed herself, and maintained a healthy appetite. However, things changed drastically during the sixth month when doctors advised complete bed rest due to concerns over premature delivery.
Her situation worsened when she began suffering from severe abdominal pain, leading to repeated emergency hospital visits. Medical examinations revealed gallbladder stones, but surgery was ruled out because she was only seven months pregnant. With limited treatment options available, she was forced to endure recurring episodes of intense pain without strong medication, as her pregnancy restricted what doctors could prescribe. This cycle continued for weeks, leaving her physically drained and emotionally overwhelmed.
By the eighth month, the stress on her body triggered early labour, and she delivered her baby sooner than expected. Despite childbirth, her struggles were far from over. The gallbladder surgery still had to be postponed because she was breastfeeding and recovering, making powerful medicines unsafe. Nearly 40 days passed before doctors finally cleared her for the procedure to remove her gallbladder.
Even after surgery, the recovery process was slow and demanding. Ishita had to adhere to strict food restrictions while her body healed, which further impacted her weight. Looking back, she clarified that her weight loss was not intentional or driven by shortcuts. Instead, it was the outcome of prolonged illness, medical limitations, and gradual recovery. She emphasised that there was no miracle method involved, only patience, mental strength, and the body’s natural healing process, and invited followers to continue the conversation if they had further questions.
