‘Don’t give up’. HUL boss has a few words of inspiration for this CA 'finalist', praises her for overcoming rejection

Failure can often teach us more about ourselves than we might comprehend. If one decides to channel the rejection into creative pursuits, then they have already reached half-way on their path to success. However, not all can process rejection and failure into artistic expressions.

But this CA finalist dealt with her failure in the exam in the most inspiring way.

Prachi Bhatter, a resident of Jaipur, took to her LinkedIn account to share an image of a painting that she had put to life. The stunning work of art attracted the attention of over 10,000 LinkedIn users. While it brought joy to the LinkedIn community, the story of the painting as narrated by Bhatter is nothing short of inspiration.


Her artwork and her words, also caught the attention of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) CEO and MD Sanjiv Mehta who hailed it as "fabulous".

Bhatter, in her LinkedIn post, said that she was optimistic about clearing her CA final exams. However, when the results were announced, she couldn’t crack it. She described her last few days following the results as "abysmal". The young aspirant also went to reveal that in the wake of this episode, she felt that she had lost a sense of purpose in life. However, instead of wallowing in self-pity, she grabbed her paintbrush and palette and sought refuge in art.

After completing her work of art, she said she felt a sense of accomplishment and clarity. Bhatter went on to add that ups and downs are a part of life and that one just needs to take a break and refresh their minds instead of drowning in sorrow.

"Recently, I got my May’ 2022 results and despite of my confidence that I would clear, I couldn’t but did got exemption. My past few days were a total abysmal. This was the time when I thought that won’t try again and couldn’t think what to do. It was then I grabbed my paint brush and gathered colours and started painting this art. After completing, I had some sense of accomplishment and clarity . So, ups and downs are a part of life, you just have to take some break and refresh your mind instead of sitting all upset and disheartened," read her post on LinkedIn. Impressed with the young girl's artwork and her wisdom on failure, the HUL boss took a moment to appreciate her efforts. Mehta, in his response to Bhatter’s post, gave a shout-out to her work.

The top FMCG boss - who enjoys an ardent following on LinkedIn - wrote that she was very talented and that her work was fabulous. He praised her for not giving up and added that he was looking forward to the day when she would get ‘finalist’ removed from her bio that reads ‘CA Finalist’.

“Prachi, just saw your post. You are a very talented person. Your work of art is fabulous and very importantly don’t give up. Look forward to the day when the word finalist gets removed and you will proudly say you are a ‘CA’,” read Mehta’s response.
