Ricky Kej finally gets his Grammy medallion that was stuck at Customs for 2 months after Twitter appeal
The composer won his second Grammy for album 'Divine Tides' in April this year.

Ricky Kej will gt his Grammy medallion on Wednesday.
Two months after winning his second Grammy, Ricky Kej is still waiting to get a hold of his medallion.
The music composer posted a happy picture with his Grammy medallion, which Kej won this April for his album Divine Tides', on Twitter after it was stuck with the Customs in Bengaluru for more than two months.
In his post, he shared that the Recording Academy - organisers of the Grammy Awards - gives a medallion (made by Tiffany) to all the nominees before the ceremony. Since it was a win for him, he was also awarded a trophy.
He thanked the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs and Bangalore's Commissioner City Customs for solving this courier issue.

Fed up with FedEx India's nonresponsive approach, the music composer decided to share his woes on Twitter with his 27.4K followers on Tuesday. He had urged the Customs to help retrieve his medallion and requested his fans to not blame them.

"They may not be aware what the product (medallion) is.. or what its purpose is. They are probably following procedure. The motive of this tweet was to let them know of the package, and hopefully, they will release it to me," he added.

Soon, the CBIC India checked replied asking him to provide the tracking number or any reference for early clearance. It also asked the courier and shipping company FedEx to track the consignment.
Within hours, the Customs informed, after checking with the Bengaluru team, that the package had not filed the 'Bill of entry' for clearance which caused the problem. "They have been asked to do so immediately," the tweet read.
After repeated follow up, Kej finally shared that his medallion has cleared customs and will be reaching him on Wednesday. The news was confirmed by the local FedEx team after the swift intervention by Customs of India.

"This would not be possible without the Customs officials going over & above their duty to ensure this is done," he added.
Ricky Kej in association with Stewart Copeland composed 'Divine Tides' album, which comprises nine songs.
The maestro had won his first Grammy award along with Wouter Kellerman for his album 'Winds of Samsara' in the new age album category.
