Zomato and Amul India sent out precautionary tweets in the wake of coronavirus outbreak in India.
Anxiety and apprehension mounted on Wednesday as the count of people affected by the coronavirus climbed to 28. Even as the Government got into proactive mood and said that it was pulling all stops - it held high-level meetings and sessions- to contain the virus, the Prime Minister tweeted that he had "decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme" keeping in mind the outbreak. His second-in-command, Amit Shah, also followed suit and urged "everyone to avoid public gatherings".

Meanwhile on Twitter, and across other social media handles, brands put their best lines forward as they tried to spread awareness about the new virus that has grounded life across the globe.

Zomato India, known for its peppy, hilarious social media posts, sent out a precautionary tweet in its signature style, urging its followers to practice hand hygiene. The text of the post was written in tiny font, and read, “Germs are tiny. So tiny you can’t see them with your eyes. In fact, there might be millions of them on your fingertips that you used to zoom in and read this.”

“Please wash your hands before eating”, the post ended.
