Perfect matches are made in heaven, and South diva Nayanthara's love story with actor-director Vignesh Shivan is one such.
The couple, who finally tied the knot in a fairytale wedding on June 9, is getting a Netflix documentary made on their epic love story. The yet-to-be-titled documentary will soon be premiered on the streaming platform.
Starting from when they first met on the sets of the Tamil film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' in 2015 to their dreamy wedding at a famous resort in Mahabalipuram, the documentary will capture the essence of Nayanthara and Vignesh's love life.
Alongside a string of images of the couple for the documentary shoot, Netflix India's caption read, "These images of Nayanthara and Vignesh have us seeing stars. BRB, we're doing a little happy dance ourselves because they’re coming to Netflix. It’s beyond a fairy tale!"
Shivan also confirmed the news with more pictures from the docu-shoot. "Happy to be associated with the greatest Netflix India to bring you some nice unforgettable moments from our life," he wrote in the caption.
In a statement issued by the streamer, Netflix India Series Head Tanya Bami said, "We are the home for unscripted content that is fresh and compelling and has the power to connect with audiences in India and beyond. Nayanthara has been a true superstar with a career spanning nearly 20 years. With our amazing creative partners, director Gautam Vasudevan and Rowdy Pictures, we cannot wait for our members to finally get to see Nayanthara's journey that led to this fairytale wedding with Vignesh."
Right after the 36-year-old film-maker shared his wedding pictures on their wedding day, the media reports claimed that the newly-weds couple was served with a legal notice. It was understood that Shivan had violated contract terms with the OTT giant by posting the wedding pictures.
The reports, which said Netflix had exclusive rights to posting wedding pictures of the couple, also claimed that the OTT platform had paid for the wedding arrangements. The latest development at Netflix seems to put an end to the unverified reports.
