Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya's romantic drama Chennai Love Story has completed a successful theatrical run and is now set to reach audiences beyond cinemas. Released on July 24, 2026, the Telugu film received a positive response for its emotional storyline, lead performances and chemistry between the actors. The movie has also managed to put up strong numbers at the box office, making its digital release one to watch for fans of Telugu romantic dramas.

The film will begin streaming on SonyLIV from August 21, 2026. The movie will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, allowing viewers across different regions to watch the romantic drama.

Before its digital premiere, Chennai Love Story recorded a strong theatrical performance. The film was reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 15 crore and went on to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in worldwide gross collections.

After 15 days in theatres, the film had earned approximately Rs 36.90 crore net in India. Its India gross collection stood at around Rs 43.54 crore, according to the figures provided.

The movie also found an audience outside India. Its overseas gross collection was reported at approximately Rs 6.92 crore, taking its worldwide gross to around Rs 50.46 crore.

The film's first two weeks were particularly strong. It reportedly collected around Rs 27 crore net in its opening week, followed by another Rs 9.65 crore in its second week. By the third week, the daily collections had slowed, with the film adding approximately ₹25 lakh on its third Friday.

Despite the decline in daily earnings during its third week, the overall theatrical run remained successful for the romantic drama.

Chennai Love Story also achieved a notable milestone during its theatrical journey. It reportedly became the eighth highest-grossing Telugu film in India in 2026, moving ahead of Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur's Dacoit in lifetime collections.
